Unforgettable

Things are finally looking up. Last Saturday, Pink, Yen, CC, LW, Nie and me went for yumcha at Sunway. A place we don't usually go but because of LW who wanted to go some place unusual, we headed there for a RM10 drink. Stingy boys just had plain water *tsk tsk* Topic of the day centered around Nie and her collague Dave whom CC insist is her new beau. Had an awesome time. After that, headed to Kepong for supper. 4 cars, CC in one, LW in one, Pink and Yen in one and Nie and me in another. We kinda had some misadventure but it was all in great fun. Those unintentional stops to make phone calls and get directions as well as find out where each other are were actually fun. Finally found a place to settle down for food. EJ called and told us he'll be joining us but we told him not to cos he was tipsy. He insisted and even payed our bill. LW sent me back *big grin*

Something hit me when I was in Nie's car. We were following LW's car and when the streetlight hits his rearview mirror, I had a glimpse of his face and fell in love all over again. I can safely say that I was making progress in getting over him but for that one moment, everything rushed back. Damn this feeling of love. Yen one the other hand, had an awesome time as well. But she's more for the fact that CC didn't try to ignore her and instead included her in every comversation and joke. She was so happy that night that through her messages, I could feel her glow of happiness.

Before all these, I was out with Kor. We went to a play by Gavin Yap call "wish I was there". Patrick Teoh was so dramatic that he made me laugh and cry on cue. Gavin Yap was so cute and good looking in his shirt that he made me drool the whole time. This play was about an old man and a young man that dies and meet in an in-between place before heading to heaven. They couldn't get along because old man feels young man don't respects him and young man thinks old man don't understand him. In the end, God (who's a woman) told them that they would need each other to finish their unfinished business before they could head to heaven. Old man's unfinish business is his children whereby he has not ever been there for them throughout their growth and young man's unfinish business is his girlfriend in which he commited suicide to make her feel guilty for leaving him (he didn't want to get married so she left). Somehow, through the disagreements, arguements and disgust they had for each other, they managed to see each other through and the gates of heaven opened up to them.

The play made me feel even more how life is so short. Next day, mum got a phone call from her DAWN member informing her that another member has passed on. Thing is, night before, this lady just called mum to tell her that she left something with her and mum was to get it from her house in 2 days time. Mum said she sounded healthy and next day, she was gone. Heart attack. Yes, I know heart attacks can happen any time. Still makes me feel death is lurking behind everyone of us. He has his axe up and ready to jam it into our necks. Despite all these forwarded mails about telling people what they mean to us before it's too late, I still feel it's hard to do so. C'mon, even Patrick Teoh (old man) had problems telling his son that he loves him even when he's dead. Points to ponder...
